Everything about Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival totally explained

Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival is North America's largest documentary film festival, conference and market, held annually in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The 2008 Festival ran from April 17th to 27th.
   The 2007 Festival, held 19 April to 29 April, featured more than 125 films from around the world. Film highlights from the 2007 festival include In the Shadow of the Moon, Manufacturing Dissent,, Strange Culture, War/Dance, The Bodybuilder And I, Billy the Kid, Protagonist, Zoo, Helvetica, King Corn, and Your Mommy Kills Animals.
   The Hot Docs festival was started in 1993 by the Canadian Independent Film Caucus, a national association of independent documentary filmmakers mainly comprised of film scholars from York University in Toronto. Much of the festival's success can be credited to the logistical support rendered by scores of volunteers every year.
   In addition to the Festival, Hot Docs also runs North America's essential documentary market The Toronto Documentary Forum (TDF).
